10 Brighton events to go to in September
Although the weather hasn't been particularly sunny since about early July, September is the month where summer starts drawing itself to a close. Even though it won't really be summer anymore that doesn't mean the fun and excitement of the city stops.
We've compiled some of the best events to go to in September as we say goodbye to summer for another year.
Saturday 2nd September: 12.30-4pm, £20 or £35 for 2
If you want a wine fair as chilled as a nice bottle of Chardonnay, then we've found the one for you. Stroll around the Albert Room of the Grand Hotel and sample, buy, and learn about the finest wines from Sussex's leading wine producers.
Sunday 3rd September: 7-8am, free
Take some time out for you and practice self-care in the Pavilion Gardens with this creative yoga session. Bring your own mat and stretch in the beautiful gardens to the sound of classical Indian music, and breathe.
Sunday 3rd September: 3-6pm, free
Revival Collective are back with a second clothes swap to help put an end to throwaway fashion. Bring the clothes you no longer want and give someone else's a new home. Make sure you get there on time so the clothes can be sorted and you can grab yourself the best bits to update your wardrobe.
Wednesday 6th September: 6-11pm, free
Part of the British Science Festival, here you can put on your bee goggles in an interactive game and see if you can get back to your hive. There will be other bee-themed treats in the form of a special nanobrew, and you can also try your hand at brewing an indulgent chocolate honeycomb porter. Buzzing.
Wednesday 13th September: 9.30am-12pm, free

Friday 15th September: 11pm-3am, £5 adv
Two iconic musical acts go head to head, but which one is your favourite? Dance to some of the most iconic tracks ever made and celebrate girl power til the early hours.
Friday 15th September: 11pm-3am, £7 adv
Karaoke with a twist; the live band plays the songs and you in the audience sing along with them. Don't worry if you don't know all the words because they will be projected onto a giant screen. Be the star you were born to be.
Saturday 16th - Sunday 17th September: 12pm, £5 day, £8 weekend
Fire up your engines and take on some of the spiciest foods in the world at the Fiery Foods Festival. Make sure you stay hydrated. (Don't worry, the event has been on before, it won't be like Cheese Fest...)
Friday 22nd September: 10pm-3am, £11
Whether you're more of a Gogo Yubari dancer or twist contest fanatic you can showcase all your moves from dusk til dawn at this party in honour of Quentin Tarantino's work. Celebrate in an immersive Tarantino experience and even dress up yourself. I said Goddamn, Goddamn.
Sunday 24th September: 11am-5pm, free
Just as the name suggests this is a day entirely devoted to the humble apple. You can eat some delicious apple food and drinks and take a tour of the orchard. You'll be able to keep the doctor away from the foreseeable future.
