5 Christmas Fairs You Need To Visit In Brighton

'Tis the season to be jolly, and to spend your pennies on friends and family. Instead of pushing your way through crowds in Churchill Square on a Saturday afternoon, pop along to one of these Christmas Fairs and support independent sellers. Shopping is always better with a glass of mulled wine, right?


Café Plenty Christmas Market

Friday 2nd December, Café Plenty, 7pm – 10.30pm

We love Café Plenty here at Brighton Girl and we’re excited to see them opening their doors for their first Christmas Market. There’ll be lots of talented traders selling screen prints, jewellery, Christmas cards, leather accessories and luxury tea.  As well as festive food and drink, there’ll also be a DJ helping you to get into the Christmas mood!

Etsy Made Local Christmas Market

Saturday 3rd December, Brighton Dome, 11am – 5pm

There is no way we’re the only ones hooked on Etsy. Now you can view all the handmade goodness in one place! There’ll be 140 sellers; all local, independent and handmade. You can meet the makers, have a browse and pick up some one of a kind Christmas gifts.

Hanover Community Centre Christmas Fair

Sunday 4th December, Hanover Centre, 2pm – 6pm

Support the local community in Hanover and have some festive fun at their Christmas fair. Fun for the whole family, you can expect craft stalls, mulled wine, Christmas craft making, Santa's Grotto, Remade in Brighton Christmas jumper decorating, carol singing with a twist and much more!

North Laines Christmas Late Night Shopping Evening

December 8th, North Laines, 5.30pm – 9pm

Finally, an opportunity to enjoy some late night shopping whilst avoiding the hectic high street. North Laine’s best independent shops are teaming up and keeping their doors open until 9pm. With 10% off, free gifts, bubbly and nibbles – what’s not to love?!

The Fairy Tale Fair: Christmas Special

Sunday 11th December, The Open Market, 11am – 4pm

The Fairy Tale Fair are hosting their second festive offering of the year and taking over The Open Market. With over 45 stalls featuring handmade goodies from local designers and makers, you’re sure to pick up some unique stocking fillers and gifts. There’ll also be live music, cafes, face painting and lots of yummy homemade food stalls.
