10 Events For Every Brighton Girl In March

We are now quickly approaching spring and I, for once, couldn’t be happier about it! You won’t need to wear 100 layers anymore and leaving the house gets a little easier everyday, so we decided to compile a list of 10 events in March for every Brighton Girl!

1. Vegan Cookery Class at The Cowley Club - Sunday, 3rd March

Whether you’re already vegan or just like to try out a new diet, this might be the perfect introductory cooking class for you! It will take about 5h and you’ll learn to cook 8 different dishes. The class will also finish with a big vegan feast! Check out the Facebook event to see how you can participate.

2. Brighton Girl Pancake Day Lock In at Nowhere Man - Tuesday, 5th March

It’s International Pancake Day and we’re hosting a Pancake Lock-In at the Nowhere Man with us Brighton Girls being the only ones in the café after closing hours! There’ll be all-you-can-eat pancakes, including vegan and gluten free options, and you can even bring your own booze. You’ll need to get a ticket beforehand though which can be found here.

3. SuperDoux Sundayz - Vegan Buffet BYOB Roast at Café Trafé - Sunday, 10th March

If you’re into Sunday roasts, you need to check out SuperDoux’s pop up roast at Café Trafé! The cost will be about 10-12 quid and you can BYOB! There will be 2 mains and plenty of side dishes to choose from-all vegan!

4. Make a thing at The Hope & Ruin - Tuesday, 12th March

There’ll be 3 rounds for you and your team to make something fitting the themes given to you! There’ll be beer prizes and loads of material for your crafts! Plus the entry is free!

5. FREE Hatha Yoga Drop-In at Vallance Community Centre - Friday, 15th March

Hatha is a type of yoga that combines asanas (yoga postures) with pranayama (breathing techniques) exercises and this class is ideal for beginners. You don’t even need to bring a yoga mat, as they will be provided. It’s a drop-in class, so there’s no need to sign up! Did I mention that it’s free?! Check out the FB event for more details.

6. International Women’s Day Mixtape at The Spire - Saturday, 16th March

The party hosts of Traumfrau are joining forces with Queer Songbook for this event dedicated to International Women’s Day! This party celebrates the queer women of Brighton and features 6 queer and non-binary women that each present a song that they appreciated because of its queer narrative! The regular Traumfrau party will follow this queer extravaganza! Check out the FB events for tickets.

7. Brighton Girl Coffee Meet Up at Marwood’s - Sunday, 17th March

On Sunday, 17th March from 11Am we’re hosting our monthly Brighton Girl Coffee Meet Up at Marwood again! Come around for some familiar faces, potentially new friends and nice cake! As usual we’ll be meeting upstairs. Can’t wait to see many of you there!

8. Beyond Take II - Trans Fundraiser at Marlborough’s - Saturday, 23rd March

Here we have another free event. This time it’s addressed at trans people! There will be trans artists performing and not only can you enjoy their performances, but also contribute to the fundraising for individual peoples gender reassignment surgeries! A party for a very good cause!

9. Baking Scandinavian Buns at Stoneham Bakehouse - Tuesday, 26th March

If you ever wanted to learn how to make these amazing cinnamon buns you usually only buy at IKEA, this is your place to be! You’ll receive the recipes and go home with a load of delicious fresh buns! Check out the FB event for details.

10. Saved by the 90s at Komedia - Friday, 29th March

The ultimate 90s party is coming to Brighton and if it’s your birthday in March you can even send them an e-mail and get free entry! Dressing in your fave 90’s look is highly appreciated, so grab your friends and come around! Check out the FB event for more details.
