Rural Sussex Girl Spring Retreat

Join CJYoga and our RSG host Jasmine for a Spring Retreat afternoon at Tranquility Yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️💜

A retreat creates the opportunity for our minds, and bodies, to rest and restore. By allowing ourselves to settle into relaxation we reap the rewards of enhanced energy, focus, creativity, patience and well-being.

We’ll explore breath work to soothe and settle during times of stress and busyness.

You’ll then be treated to a gentle yoga flow class, including somatic relaxation practices, before we take a mindful walk together.

The walk is an opportunity to chat and connect while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Ashdown Forest.

We’ll enjoy a cuppa and a sweet treat before we settle in for a guided meditation and restorative yoga; during which we’ll take support from bolsters so we can get the maximum impact from the poses with none of the effort!

You don’t need to have practiced Yoga before to join us for this retreat - everyone is welcome. Please bring a mat if you have one, or email cjyoga@yahoo.co.uk to borrow one.

Please make Caz aware upon booking if you have any dietary requirements.

Last months MK Girl Event:

Note from Liquid Art:

Liquid Art Drinking and Painting parties for absolute beginners!

ANYONE CAN BE AN ARTIST WITH A DRINK IN THEIR HAND!

We bring our art classes like no other to bars and pubs all around MK. We provide all the art supplies you need and teach everyone to paint step by step with an instructor in front of you. We paint and learn simple techniques to create beautiful artwork, that you will be amazed by what you can produce. Honestly ANYONE can do it!

Follow along with this painting or you can go rogue, let the creative juices flow and paint anything you like if you want! We’ve got you covered with all our little tricks to help you along the way.

We have music playing, paint, chat, have a nibbles break (snacks included in tickets) and go to the bar whenever you like. We finish off the last few painting touches and then it’s group photo time!! Of course you can then take your paintings home with you. Its a great place to meet people and have a laugh with friends!

We will be providing you with aprons but please wear clothes that you aren’t bothered about getting paint on, and we recommend if anyone is having their nails done around the time of the event that you have them done after as the paint will destroy your lovely polished nails!!

*You must be over 18 to attend this event. Make sure to pass you dietary requirements when booking to charlotte@citygirlnetwork.com. Please note none of your person details will be passed on to other parties, we also take photos in our events that will be used on our promotions and social media and will not be passed on to any other parties. Please as we are a painting event, we trust that you will not wear any clothing that you do not mind getting paint on. We provide you with an apron to minimise the risk of paint ending up on your clothing, therefore will not take any responsibility for paint on your personal items or clothing. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Rural Sussex Girl Murder Mystery Dinner

Rural Sussex Girl Murder Mystery Dinner

Dear RSG, The year is 1986. The venue is an historic estate on the edge of town named **The Craven Gray Manor.

Wicked things have happened at the manor over the years, so some say the property may be cursed. Others claim the owners are starting the rumors to encourage thrill-seekers to visit the town and dare to stay at the property.

Who knows the truth?

Nevertheless, Ridley Barnabet recently inherited the family fortune and wishes to catapult the manor to become a local hot-spot and travel destination. Ridley has sent out exclusive invitations for a VIP bash. The town gossips are on fire with rumors of what will happen on this night when the who’s who of the town will be gathered together.

On another note, there is a buzz that the mysterious society, The Clear, might be involved with the event. The Clear is a top-secret social order that nobody knows for sure exists, but everyone chats about and spreads tales about how they control the world and all of its headlines.

Could The Clear be behind this event? Only time will tell - or would time even spill the secret?

You’ve received an invitation to the gathering at the manor. This is where your story begins….

**The Craven Gray Manor is the fictional venue. The venue is The Oak Barn in a private space.

£30 will be taken off your final bill. Please ensure you choose a minimum of two courses from the attached menu and email across to steph@citygirlnetwork at least a week prior. Please note that any difference in your meal will need to be covered on the night.

Please see the menu options here.

You will be sent your character instructions & costume ideas via email in advance of the event.

Brighton Girl Book Club

Our latest Brighton Girl Book Club will take place on Tuesday 14th May at Earth and Stars, where we’ll be discussing Something In The Water by Catherine Steadman.

Our book clubs aren’t a serious affair. They’re just a nice opportunity to get together in a relaxed space and have a chat in small groups. We’ll give you a list of questions – shared before the event so you know what to expect – and your group can choose how you use them.

There have been so many long-lasting friendships made by our book clubs – it’s such a special event!

Tickets include a drink (a special selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks) and a small percentage of this fee goes into the Brighton Girl pot.

Where you can find the book

The book is readily available everywhere! You can find one at your local library, ask our Book Club group if anyone’s able to lend you a copy, or buy it from local bookstores like City Books.

We have a few affiliate relationships with booksellers. If you choose to buy from them, we’d love it if you can buy them through our links below!

This is Bristol Girl Film Club.. and this time we are exploring the theme - Women Led Sci Fi!

In collaboration with Twentieth Century Flicks we will have our own private screening of a film that we have never seen on the BIG screen before! This is chance to see those classic films we were too young to see with the proper magic of cinema.

Host: Amy & Angela

We cannot wait to see some of your favourite films on the big screen for the first time!

Your own snacks & drinks can be brought along as well, we only ask for no sticky popcorn. There will be also be items to purchase from Twentieth Century Flicks themselves too if you want.

The film will start promptly at 7pm so please make sure you are there in advance of this. If the film chosen has a longer running time, there may be slight movement in the event timings of this event which will be communicated via email.

Leeds Girl Book Club

Leeds Girl monthly book club returns!

This month the poll winner is:

Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica.

Get reading and come join us at Parkside Tavern at 6:30pm on Tuesday 2nd April.

Join us for this very informal chat about the book but we’d love for you to bring along any questions to discuss.

We also book swap at Book Club so feel free to bring along a book to swap.

You will find the team upstairs ready & waiting for a night of fun.

There is a small fee of £2 to attend, this helps to keep us at Leeds Girl able to run our excellent events.

The book is available from your usual book stores, and remember you can check your local library too. Maybe even consider lending your copy to another Leeds Girl!

The Leeds Girl Book Club runs on the first Tuesday of each month so make a note in your calendars for the rest of the year!

Please let our host, Lisette know if you have any questions. Otherwise, we hope you enjoy the book and we're really looking forward to seeing you all there!
