Murder She Watched: Bristol Girl Documentary Club

  • 20th Century Flicks 19 Christmas Steps, Bristol BS1 5BS (map)

This May, Bristol Girl is excited to announce that we have a brand new event.. Murder She Watched: Bristol Girl Documentary Club. We invite you to delve into the weird and wonderful world of documentaries, to gain new perspectives and discover amazing stories!

Every month, the documentary will be chosen and hosted by our Fab Event Hosts.

Our documentary this month will be: Amanda Knox (Netflix)

Event Hosts: Amy & Jodie

Please note that the documentaries we choose may contain or be about sensitive subjects so we will aim to add a disclaimer and synopsis to each event page so that you can make a decision on whether you feel comfortable with the subject matter of the documentary that month.

Come and join us at Twentieth Century Flicks for the documentary screening. The film will start promptly at 7pm so please make sure you are there in advance of this. If the film chosen has a longer running time, there may be slight movement in the event timings of this event which will be communicated via email.

Your own snacks & drinks can be brought along, we only ask for no sticky popcorn. There will be also be items to purchase from Twentieth Century Flicks themselves too if you want.

We will then move the conversation to a closeby venue (to be confirmed shortly) for a discussion on the key points and people from the documentary.

Expect to have an amazing evening with a group of great Bristol Girls, having lots of fun watching and discussing the chosen documentary!

We understand that coming to an event can be daunting if you haven’t been to one before (or sometimes even if you have!). We really want you all to know that absolutely everyone on the Bristol Girl group is welcome.

We are a group of kind, supportive and inclusive girls who are all here with the same thing in mind - to create some strong connections and quality friendships. So please don’t worry if you’re feeling anxious as those anxieties will certainly fade once you’ve met us!

SOCIAL MEDIA DISCLAIMER: Photos will be taken at this event to be used on our social media channels. If you do not wish for your photo to be used, please contact one of the Event Hosts in advance.

ACCESSIBILITY CLAUSE: Unfortunately, as there are many stairs to access the venue, this will not be suitable for anyone with access needs. Please check out our other events to see what will suit your requirements.

BUDDY UP: Are you coming on your own for the first time or even the 10th time & would love to meet up with someone before coming in to take the edge off? We’ve all been new once so remember the first time anxieties! Pop a message below and see if you can match up with someone.
